One Health is an integrated, unifying approach that aims to sustainably balance and optimize the health of people, animals, and ecosystems. It recognizes that the health of humans, domestic and wild animals, plants, and the wider environment are closely linked and interdependent.
OHSI is open to students, researchers, health professionals, veterinarians, environmental scientists, policymakers, and anyone interested in the One Health approach. No specific prerequisites are required, though a background in health or life sciences is helpful.
Yes! All participants who complete the programme will receive a certificate of participation from the One Health Summer Institute. Additional course-specific certificates may be awarded based on individual course assessments.
The primary language of instruction is English. However, as OHSI takes place in Cameroon (a bilingual country), some sessions and materials may be available in French. Participants are encouraged to be comfortable in at least one of these languages.
